Well hello there Salmon-followers,
I know, I know, it’s been quite some time since we updated you with some fishy shenanigans.
Well I have a bit of a fish tale for you today.
The other friday, I took Salmon to some light-hearted comedy. We went to see the Moonfish Rhumba no less. (www.moonfishrhumba.com)
Salmon was a very squiffy fish after only having a few pints in SPOC. The pint of wine in the Hen & Chicken was what tipped him over the edge. Maybe it was the fowl pub that enduced the level of hysteria in him, or maybe he didn’t like Moonfish’s song about Salmon Sandwiches, but something made him go a bit crazy fish.
At being dropped off at Highbury & Islington tube, Salmon then proceeded to make his way to Waterloo. Which would have been fine had he not meant to be at Liverpool Street. In his bemused sealife state he saw a sign for Southend and boarded the train home. Problem was - it wasn’t Southend, Salmon ended up in SOUTHAMPTON.
Eulogy! colleagues received jumbled texts from a fish in fear who was at Hook train station at 5:30am from a fish trying to return to London. The thought of being impaled by a part of fishing tackle left the poor fishy dude feeling cold, wet, alone and hungry.
Don’t worry people. The salmon lives to swim another day. But keep your eye out for drunken Salmons at trains stations please.
Earlier this week I sat next to the salmon in a social media training session. I thought for those Salmon fans across the world I would jot down a few dear diary moments of how a fish out of water behaves:
12:13 - Salmon burps
12:21 - Salmon has a good old scratch
12:28 - Salmon puts his hand in his pocket
12:34 - Salmon checks his phone (probably to see if salmoness had been in touch)
13:08 - Salmon knocks his fin against me
13:21 - Salmon is a bit bored. He looks like a zombie
13:55 - Salmon wants some fish food
14:25 - Salmon tells his second joke of the day, he is actually a very witty fish
14:50 - Salmon is twit confused
15:03 - Salmon tales a lot of notes….. he is impressed
15:06 - Salmon does not seem keen enough about salmon- ‘ning’. Why?
15:09 - Salmon is making a rude gesture with his fist in motion.
Hi hi,
So, it’s Friday, I’m listening to Simply (salmon) Red and there is no better time to add a few tidbits to the Salmon blog.
This week, Salmon has been mostly chipper, despite a vehicular malfunction. Things are definitely on the up as he is delighted with the white Magnum that he has just received. Who knew fish liked ice cream?
So, on to Salmon observations. Firstly, this week I came across a website entitled ‘Canned Goodness Makes Salmon an Easy Meal’ which I can only say is absolutely true and I think you’ll all find it an interesting read.
This week, as the sun is shining and Salmon himself is happy, the Salmon Blog is proud to present a series of ‘Happy Salmon’ images.
Enjoy and stay fresh Salmon Lovers.
